My Story
I was always fascinated with photography even from a young age. I bought my first “real” camera just before the birth of my first child. I learned everything I could about how to use it in the weeks leading up to the big day. Once she was born my camera was always with me as I discovered the joy of fatherhood and the joy of photography. I was instantly hooked on both. In addition to photographing my daughter I also began to shoot sunrises, and anyone who would sit still long enough for a photo. I kept learning and reading everything I could get my hands on about photography. I soon became the family photographer documenting every family event including each of my three additional children. I eventually studied and became a wedding photographer, and my passion for photography exploded. Just when I thought that I couldn’t get more excited about photography digital cameras came on the scene, my interest intensified. Now the photographer had to learn image editing along with their camera skills. I just couldn’t get enough of this stuff. I studied under the best in the business by attending their seminars, and watching their videos and even to go so far as to spend 4 or 5 days at their homes to learn certain specialized techniques. I continued to shoot weddings, portraits, families, landscapes, and products and always felt that behind the camera is where I belonged. Today I shoot mostly landscapes, families, and only small intimate weddings of family, friends, and referrals from my previous clients. And now I am once again, the family photographer having come full circle. Right where I belong.
